Remember the Ladies....

 Peg Redfearn | 7/25/2010

Ever wonder who those amazing women were alongside those Mx men?

Those elusive Mary's and Elizabeth's we see on the records, probably had just as interesting a pedigree as the next, but were relegated to relative anonymity because of their sex.

I suspect many women in this great Mx family had some wonderful tales to tell, of their journeys, families and accomplishments, and I am sure many witnessed history that we would leave most of us in awe.

I ran across a lovely quote from Abigail Adams in a letter to her husband, President John Adams: "Remember the ladies, and be more favorable to them than your ancestors."

Who knows, perhaps we will find out even more about the entire Mx Family if we share information: photos, records and stories, or listings from family bibles.

My name is Peg Redfearn US360

I am a fledgling in the family research area, and am descended through the Branford Mx line. I hope to encourage anyone, male or female, to share information or even hints re: the distaff side of the Mx family, whether by marriage or direct descent.  Let's get these gals out of obscurity!
